The idea to build the Hotel Vila Lumbung originated from the need to find the right place for close friends, who make the long journey from the west, and who wish to find the best accommodation with an exotic flair.

Vila Lumbung Hotel is a small exotic village surrounded by masterly designed tropical gardens of approximately 20,000 square-meters. The special shape of the grass-roof villas is derived from the typical Balinese "Lumbung". The upper part of this center hut of each family compound serves as a rice barn, while the lower floor - an elevated sitting area ("Bal�Equot;) - is used as a meeting place.
Guests will find all the best comforts and services ensured by a well trained house-hold staff.
This concept has been transformed into a unique design . While the dome-shaped grass roof-top of the upper floors conveys a spacious and tropical feeling, the ground floor's Bal�Eis made into a cozy retreat next to the garden.
